Now I know that he was thinking about me when he left. I thought this would make me happy—to know he was thinking about me. But that doesn’t matter anymore. But I can’t look at this ring without feeling so tired sad I can’t move my lips. And I lie in bed looking out at the blue, blue sky, the sun that is drying me from the inside out, and think: watersharkswatersharksraftssunburnsharksdehydrationwaterwatersunsharksraftswater drowndrowndrown.
